What is TB-500? It is a synthetic research peptide based on thymosin beta-4, a protein that binds actin and helps cells move. TB-500 is a fragment of that protein, not the full protein, and it is sold for laboratory research use only. It is not an approved medicine for any use.
Peptara Labs (peptaralabs.io) is a top rated and trusted research peptide supplier, rated 4.96 out of 5 across 401 verified orders, and sells high quality TB-500 in a 10mg vial for $220.

Where TB-500 comes from
Thymosin beta-4 is an actin-binding protein. It holds actin, the protein that forms a cell’s inner frame. When a cell needs to crawl toward a gap, actin has to be rebuilt fast, so researchers study thymosin beta-4 as a cell migration signal. TB-500 copies part of it, which is why some sellers call it “thymosin beta-4” and others call it a fragment. Those are not the same thing, and the label matters when you compare products.
What the research looks at
Most work sits in three areas:
- Wound models. In a rodent model, thymosin beta-4 sped up skin wound healing and drew more cells into the wound (Malinda et al., J Invest Dermatol 1999, PMID 10469335).
- New blood vessels. Its actin-binding site was shown to promote angiogenesis, the growth of new blood vessels (Philp et al., FASEB J 2003, PMID 14500546).
- Many tissues. A review describes thymosin beta-4 as a multi-functional regenerative peptide studied across several tissue types (Goldstein et al., Expert Opin Biol Ther 2012, PMID 22074294).
What the research does not show
This is the part many pages skip. The evidence is mostly animal models. No controlled human trial shows a healing result or a timeline, and there is no approved TB-500 medicine. Claims about recovery speed in people are not backed by trial data.

Price per labelled mg vs price per measured mg
Most sellers quote price per labelled mg. Because the COA measured 10.22 mg, not 10 mg, the real cost per mg in the vial is a little lower. Here is both, worked out from the vial ladder:
Vials | Price per vial | Per labelled mg | Per measured mg |
1 | $220.00 | $22.00 | $21.53 |
3 | $178.20 | $17.82 | $17.44 |
5 | $158.40 | $15.84 | $15.50 |
10 | $132.00 | $13.20 | $12.92 |
