Where does Epithalon come from?
Epithalon is a copy of a natural idea, not a natural extract. Scientists looked at a pineal gland substance, picked out a four amino acid chain, and made it in the lab. That short chain is what research suppliers sell today.
What has the research looked at?
Two sources do most of the work here.
- Telomerase in cells. Telomeres are the caps on the ends of chromosomes. In lab work on human body cells, Epithalon switched on telomerase, the enzyme that builds those caps, and the caps got longer (Khavinson et al., Bull Exp Biol Med 2003, PMID 12937682).
